Jaydene was a school leaver who disliked a classroom environment and wasn't sure what move to make next, having decided on an apprenticeship, she quickly found herself out of work as a result of the economic downturn

Capital engaged with Lota Training where Jaydene was undertaking her apprenticeship

Why did the learner join the project?

It gave Jaydene a hope of finding employment if she could just find someone who was able to support her qualification but didn't have to pay her wage for 26 weeks

What was the barrier to finding employment?

Local employment had suffered since the recession and companies were reluctant to take her for positions as she had little experience

How has the project affected their apprenticeship?

Jaydene has now completed her apprenticeship, without the intervention of the project this may never have happened. She couldn't have completed without the necessary job
